Laila is an editor with Open Development & Education helping to fine tune knowledge products and get them ready for dissemination. She has a background in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and developing learning and teaching materials for EFL at Cambridge University Press and also in developing and producing assessments for Cambridge Assessment — both including EdTech materials for students and teachers for primary, secondary and adult learners. She has over 25 years’ experience as an editor and also works as a translator from German and Russian into English. She continues to work for Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press on a freelance basis. She is passionate about languages, education and communication.
